I’m proud to pass the baton to our freshest pizza, Allan, who took some time out of his busy 1st week to let us get to know him better.
Question: How did you end up getting into game development?
Allan: I grew up playing games all my life so it felt like a natural progression to pursue a career in games. I went to college for game art which laid the foundation for a career in game dev.
Question: When did you start working on mobile games?
Allan: I started my first job back in 2011 where I met several members of the current Pizza Club team! At the time Facebook games were still huge and mobile games were still fairly new.
Question: What is your all-time favorite mobile game?
Allan: Monument Valley really impressed me when I first played it. The art, music, and atmosphere were a far cry from the standard games at the time. The puzzle mechanics were satisfying and it was very relaxing to play.
Question: What is your all-time favorite video game (non-mobile)?
Allan: This one is tough as there are a ton of games I really enjoy. Probably one of the more “recent” games I stay up to date with is Overwatch. While competitive play can be exhausting at times I still enjoy getting better at my favorite characters like Pharah and Ashe.
Question: What is the next thing you’re most looking forward to for Raid Boss?
Allan: As a 3D artist I’m looking forward to seeing how our updates to the world of Raid Boss will be reflected in game. I also can’t wait to see how players will respond to our visual updates..
(Below is a concept of an update for the Hydra boss location that Allan did on his second day!)
Thanks Allan. This pizza is ready to go. Thanks to all of you for your support and please keep playing Raid Boss this is going to be our biggest year yet!
